Stoke After Akinbiyi

Reports have suggested Potters boss Tony Pulis would like to sign former player Ade Akinbiyi from C Palace.

Reports on Planet Football website suggest Tony Pulis the Stoke boss would like a reunion with Ade Akinbiyi.

Pulis has reportedly enquired about the chance of taking him to the Brittania, and a chance to fire Stoke away from the bottom.

Pulis then Gills and Bristol City manager brought Akinbiyi twice and then sold him for a record City fee of £3.5 million.

Akinbiyi's recent good form came at Wolves where he hit 16 goals for the Molineux men and then was sold a year later to Leicester for £5 million , he then endured a torrid time in the Premiership with Leicester scoring just a handful of goals before a £2.5 million switch to Palace.

The bad luck didn't end there for Akinbiyi he has been injured mostly during his spell at Selhurst Park and has not enjoyed times in South London.

Andrew Mills , Akinbiyi's agent made a statement saying "Discussions have been ongoing between Crystal Palace and Stoke for the past 24 hours."

"Tony Pulis is keen to work with Ade again at Stoke but there are certain things which need to be resolved before anything can happen." Mills added
