Coventry fans have breathed a massive sigh of relief has the news player boss Gary Mcallister has not broke his ankle but just sprained ligaments.

The incident was in Coventry's dissapionting 2-2 home draw with Wimbledon , he was stretchered off with the injury but X-Rays today revealed only slight ligament damage.

Eric Black - Mcallisters number two revealed to the Coventry Evening Telegraph " "Gary has got badly sprained ankle ligaments and fortunately nothing is broken."

"We will have to assess it further when the swelling goes down. He went up for the ball and the guy has just brushed him enough to put him off balance and he's gone down awkwardly on it."

"I have to be honest and say I thought it was a lot worse because he is not one to go down for little things, so we will just have to see how long he will be out."

"But I don't doubt he will come back from it because if anyone can do it, he will do it 100 per cent."
