Curle released by Blades

Sheffield United player-coach, Keith Curle has been released from his contract.

The 38 year old has had the remaining weeks of his contract paid up and left with no hard feelings as he understood the club was feeling the wrath of the ITV cock-up. "In an ideal world I don't think Neil wanted me to leave but because of the financial constraints I was made a tentative contract offer and I gave a tentative reply".

It is thought that Curle may join up with his former manager at Wolves, Colin Lee, now at Walsall. Curle did leave a message that he would like to return to manage the Blades "I now need to take a step down, gaining more experience in coaching and managing and Sheffield United is the the type of club that I would love to come to and manage one day"
