Ipswich draw Beggen in UEFA Cup Draw

Ipswich have been drawn against Avenir Beggen of Luxembourg in the Uefa Cup qualifying round.

Avenir have qualified in unusual circumstances similar to that of Ipswich. Avenir were relegated from the top league in Luxembourg but won the domestic cup.

The draw appears to hand Ipswich a straight-forward route into the UEFA Cup 1st round. The 1st leg will be played away on the 15th August whilst the reverse at Portman Road will be played on the 29th of the same month.
