Cooper to WBA?, Preston want £3 million for Moyes

Wimbledon and West Brom have agreed a fee for the Dons creative midfielder, Kevin Cooper. The fee, believed to be around £1 million underlines Albion's determination to get into the Premier league following the accapetance of a £2.4 million bid for Jason Koumas yesterday, the bid was accepted and Koumas is due for talks with Albion either today or tomorrow. A spanner may hit the works for the Baggies as Cooper has stated that he has no intetntion to leave Wimbledon.

Preston are demanding £3 million compensation if manager David Moyes takes over at Everton. Moyes has aleady agreed terms with the Premiership strugglers but a deal has to be thrashed out before the deal is finalised. Acting Chairman at Deepdale, Derek Shaw did however leave the option of an Everton counter-offer open by saying "Let's see what comes back. We are talking to Everton."

Barnsley look set to sign defender Mike Flynn from Stockport. 33 year old Flynn is currently on loan at Second Division Stoke having fallen out of Carlton Palmers plans at Edgely Park. Flynn has just agreed to a third month loan at the Britannia Stadium but the loan deal will be canceled if Flynn agrees terms.

Rotherham look set to lose their captain, Kevin Watson to Reading after both clubs and the player agreed terms. Watson will move for £200,000 following a loan spell at the Madjeski Stadium. Watson indicated that one of the main reasons for the move was the fact that he can move his family back down south. Watson became a target for sections of the Roterham fans, Millers manager Ronnie Moore believes this is one of the reasons for Watson's departure.

Grimsby defender Simon Ford has emerged as a target for Premiership bound Wolves. The 20 year-old was signed on a free from Charlton in the summer, Ford's contract runs out in the summer. Grimsby boss Paul Groves has opened talks with Ford but the club is reluctant to commit to any contracts until it is known which league they will be playing in next year.

Kevin Keegan is allegedly preparing to bid for Leeds and EIRE striker Robbie Keane in the summer. Keane is one of several stars who will leave Ellend Road in the summer as part of a cost-cutting plan following a dissapointing season. Keane would command a fee of around £10 million but would upset current strikers Darren Huckerby, Paulo Wanchope and Shaun Goater who have all been in hot form this season. Keegan has also sent Cameroons first chioce keeper, Alioum Boukar, back to Samsunspor following an unsuccesful trial.
