Millwall trio to depart

Millwall trio Sean Dyche, Christophe Kinet and Marc Bircham will not be offered a new contract and therefore leave the club in the next few days unless the financial situation of the club changes.

Like most clubs in Division 1, Millwall have been hit hard by the collapse of ITV Digital. With the 3 players contracts coming up the club decided that they could not afford to offer new deals.

Boss Mark McGhee spoke of the situation to the clubs official website.

"If I could sign anyone, it would be those three, but we cannot afford it.

"Unfortunately, no solution has come to light which would get us out of that situation."

Dyche came to the nations attention as the skipper of the Chesterfield team that reached the FA Cup Semi-finals in 1997 and pushed Premiership Middlesbrough to a replay.It is thought that Rotherham are interested in the no-nonsense defender who has admitted he will consider all offers.

"As time goes on I will have to consider other offers."

Talented midfielder, Bircham, will have no problems finding a new club with QPR leading the race to sign the Canadian.

Left winger Kinet is likely to return to the continent. The Belgium joined The Lions from French club Starsbourg.
