Coventry offered £50k Eric

Coventry City have been offered Motherwell defender Eric Deloumeaux for £50,000 providing the deal is done by Thursday.

Deloumeaux is valued at £100,000 but Motherwell are in dire financial trouble and administrator Bryan Jackson told BBC Online that he is keen to raise any money for the club. "He is a good player but I can't afford him. We wanted £100,000 for him, but I would be prepared to accept £50,000.

"Coventry must let us know within the next 24 hours. If I can't move him on then I am prepared to play him next season."

Deloumeaux was signed for Motherwell by Eric Black, now assistant manager to Gary McAllister at Highfield Road.
