Football League protest

The Football League is today protesting, outside the Carlton and Granada offices, in attempt to regain the money they are owed from the ITV Digital contract.

ITV Digital owners, Carlton and Granada, pulled out on the contract leaving many Nationwide clubs in drastic measures without a source of TV income.

League chairman will picket outside the offices of the two companies in attempt to put pressure on the media companies to pay what the clubs feel they are owed.

However two League chairman will not attend, Millwall's Theo Paphitis and Crystal Palace's Simon Jordan will boycott the protest as they fell it is a waste of time. Paphitis said It is an entirely redundant exercise and must be music to the ears of Carlton and Granada.

"It is completely irrelevant.

"I certainly will not be going because I've got more important things to do - I will see them in court."
