Moore hopes Valois will sign

Rotherham boss Ronnie Moore hopes that the prospect of 1st Division footall will lure winger Jean-Louis Valois to Millmoor.

Frenchman, Valois impressed last season with Luton and attracted the interest of Ronnie Moore who depsite admitting that he can't match Luton's contract offer, can offer 1st Division football.

Moore spoke to the clubs official site about Valois and doubted the claim by Luton boss Joe Kinnear that Valois was using Rotherham to get a better deal out of Luton. Rotherham boss Ronnie Moore hopes that the prospect of 1st Division footall will lure winger Jean-Louis Valois to Millmoor.

"We can't get near what Luton have offered him but the big attraction for him is to play in the First Division.

"He's a typical winger. He's got the long locks of Ginola and looks a bit like him the way he plays, he's a potential match-winner.

"I've spoken to his agent and what he's after is within our budget so I'll decide on him on Saturday."
