Bradford striker Ashley Ward looks set to miss the start of the season with a groin injury.
With the departure of Benito Carbone, Ward is thought to be the top earner at Valley Parade on £20,000 a week. The Bantams are desperate to offload the striker in a bid to ease their wage bill. However Ward's injury lessens the chances of him attracting clubs.
The injury occured in training and whilst it is not thought to be long-term it is still likely that Ward will miss the first few games of the season.
A club spokesperson revealed more. "Ashley will be out for a couple more weeks.
"His injury is a bit more serious than was thought."
