Eadie desperate to return to action

Leicester winger Darren Eadie has spoken of his desperation to get back to full fitness and return to fisrt team action.

The pacy wideman has been held back by a knee injury sustained last October.

All through his career Eadie has struggled with injuries and many insiders in the game feel that had he stayed injury free, Eadie could have won several England caps down the left side.

Speaking to the clubs official site Eadie spoke of his desire to get back. "Coming down to the new stadium makes me even more determined to get back and start playing again.

"Myself and Matthew Jones, who has also been injured for a long time, were signed for £3million each so you could say that our return would be like £6million worth of players joining the club mid-season.

"We would both need time to get back to full fitness but I am sure the fans would help us to ease back into the side over the space of a few games.

"Then we would hope to be part of a team pushing for promotion.

"We have to look to go straight back up and the first season is the best time to do it. It gets harder and harder after that."
