Brighton take Roberts on trial

Brighton have handed a trial to Wimbledon midfielder Andy Roberts who is available on a free transfer from the London club.

Brighton fans had been expecting new manager Martin Hinshelwood to bring in either a striker or defender to bolster the squad but the manager feels that the 28-year-old has something to offer the Seagulls. ''We're still looking at all options but Roberts is available and has a decent record at Palace and Wimbledon," said Hinshelwood.
