NAC Breda have dismissed reports that Brazilian forward Leonardo will be leaving for the Premiership in the winter transfer window.

A host of English and Dutch papers claimed Tottenham had pipped Arsenal and Wigan to the pre-contract signing of the 23-year-old.

NAC's technical director Earnest Stewart has stated that Leonardo, who joined from Feyenoord in January, is going nowhere, despite being in the last year of his deal with the Eredivisie club.

"No club has contacted us up to now," Stewart told ELF. "I hear in the lobby that there is some interest in him, but no club has contacted us.

"That report is way too rash."

Stewart added that tying Leonardo to a new deal at the club was his aim, despite the left-sided player wanting to move abroad.
