Newcastle: Luque wants Spain return

Newcastle United's winger Albert Luque has admitted that his main priority is to return to his homeland due to the lack of opportunities he's suffering in England. He's been mentioned as a possible replacement for Barcelona's injured strikers Samuel Eto'o and Javier Saviola.

Speaking to Radio Marca, he stated:

"I see that time is going by and I'm not playing as much as I'd like to in England, that's why I might go back to Spain.

"When I first came here, I was injured for five months, and after that the coach never granted me three matches in a row.

"If things remain like this I would like to find a way out, but for now all I've got to do is work hard.

"I was formed in Barcelona and since I'm Catalonian I have always held Bar­sa in high esteem.

"My priority is to return to Spain, I've had opportunities to leave England for Greece or France, but if I leave England it will be only to return to Spain.

He also commented on the English press, after having seen an fake interview with him discussing his possible move to Barcelona.

"I haven't spoken to the English media for more than a month so I'm surprised that stuff about me is being published.

"I'd rather move on instead of looking for the one that has made it all up.

"It's the first time I see a completely fake interview with me.
