Roma confirm Chelsea bid for Totti

Franco Baldini (Roma Supremo) confirmed that the club have recieved an offer for Francessco Totti and as the Roman club are in such fianicial dificulites, they could be persuaded to part with their most saleable asset come the summer.

"My duty was to bring offers to the attention of the club's owners," Baldini told skysports.com. "Having now done that, it's up to them to consider the offers.

"It's not that I don't know anymore, but I don't want to cross the borders of my role.

Real Madrid are also understood to be intersted in the Roman hero, but it is unlikely that Totti would court any move away from a club he clearly loves.

However with the current cash crisis AS Roma find themselves in he may have little say in the matter.
