Del Neri set for Lazio?

Gigi Del Neri, the man who has worked wonders at Chievo, is being lined up by Lazio to replace Roberto Mancini, should he decide to take on the role at Inter.

Mancini is being widely tipped with a summer move to Inter after their poor season under Alberto Zaccheroni.

Lazio believe that Del Neri is the ideal replacement should Mancini move.

Mancini however remains tight-lipped about a possible Inter move, but Massimo Maratti is a huge fan and has made no secret of his admaration for the young coach.

Del Neri has become a massive success in Italy, with Chievo not only surviving in Seria A, but thriving. A major achievment for the small club from Verona.

So now maybe the time is right for Del Neri to make the step into Mancini's shoes.
