Lazio-Roma: Derby or War?

In what is arguably the biggest rivalry in Italian football Lazio take on Roma later today in a game both sides hate to lose, more than any other.

This season sees both sides in the top four and looking good for a champions league place. If Roma slip up then surely they as good as hand the title to AC Milan. And they certainly must enter as favourites having scored 37 goals at the olimpico and let in a mere 6. Although this time out they are of course technically the away team.

Last time out both sides were held to a draw, arguably Roma suffered more as they saw Milan's lead stretch to 7 points, but Lazio were no doubt less than happy, with Udinese's last gasp equaliser.

Both sides will be looking at todays match and feeling that the winner, will be given the boost they need to go on with their fine seasons to date and push that little harder to the end of the season.

Not just another game for either side, Rome is either Blue or Red, there is no middle.
