Cudicini: In European call.

With the news that Vetran stopper Gianluca Pagliuca, has told Trap that he is not interested in going to the European championships as third choice keeper, Trap has been forced to look elsewhere, and at the moment that elsewhere appears to be Chelsea.

Pagliuca, said when asked of his role in the European championships, that he feels the place should be taken by a younger man, and that younger man is likely to be Cudicini.

Impressive for several seasons for Chelsea it could be argued that he probably would have been called up if he were playing in Seria A, but it looks like the time may have come for a change of heart from Trap, who will pick the young Goalie.

Inter and Milan were interested in signing Cudicini should the arrival of a new keeper spark the leaving of the old one, and with the current form of Toldo, he may very well have the chance to prove himself at the higest level, should anything happen to Buffon.
