AC Milan: Silvio Berlusconi I want Maldini back

Silvio Berlusconi is trying to presuade Paolo Maldini to come out of international retirement and return to the Azzurri side for Euro 2004.

Maldini of course retired from international football after the shambles that was the 2002 world cup, probably as dismayed and annoyed as the rest of us, that the referees of the tournament were wearing oppostion coulours.

Probably couldn't quite understand what a world cup was doing there and decided to retire before the world cup commitee decided to hold one on the moon.

But now he is wanted back, a testament to the fine form of this season, and I for one would love to see this player hold a trophy in his hands I can honestly think of few people that have more right.
