Trapattoni to stay with Azzurri?

Despite suggestions that Portugal 2004 would see the end of Giovanni Trapattoni as Italy boss, he is begining to hint that he very well might have a future as boss after all..
In Italy it is widely expected that Marcello Lippi is set to take over, but Trap seams to be going on the offensive in order to keep the job, warning Lippi that he has plenty of time in which he could get the job.
With an ever increasing injury list Trap was keener to talk about the friendly against Portugal on Wedenseday.
When asked about the possibility of starting the in form Pirlo alongside Gattuso, as Zanetti is not available, Trap said: "I don’t know whether I will start with those two," he noted. "I’m not sure whether they will play at the same time. The only certainty is that they will get a game."
