Lazio on the brink, Spurs to step in for Fiore?

The fiancial crisis that is currently gripping seria A is closing it iron grip around one of Italy's biggest clubs, Lazio. The Rome based side has already stated that it will cut it wages in half over the next three years, but this alone will not be enough.

Despreately trying to find an investor the club has had no luck and needs to raise 120 million Euros to cover its loses.

Lazio's future has been in doubt since its previous parent company, Cirio, collapsed amid scandal last year.

Sergio Cragnotti, the founder of Cirio and chairman of Lazio, was arrested in February and is still in custody.

However one clubs misfortune could very well be another clubs fortune and if press specualtion in Italy is to be believed that other club is Spurs, conected at the weekend with a bid for 2 of the Lazio players, it looks like they could very well land at least one in the shape of Fiore.

The whispers have been gaining pace over the last couple of days and now sources close to the club have confirmed that negotations are ongoing between the 2 clubs, as Lazio attempt to reduce their wage bill even quicker than their first estimates.
