No Newcastle move for DiVaio.

Despite being constantly linked with a move away from Juventus Marco DiVaio is being presuaded into a new deal. It was widely expected that he would move to the Premership come the summer, after a frustraiting season at Juventus.

He had been widely tipped to make a move to Newcastle United, but reports that he is ready to sign a new deal within days looks to have ended all the speculation.

Juventus are so keen in fact to keep DiVaio that they are willing to offer him a contract to keep him at the club until 2009.

Despite what many regard as a por season for both DiVaio and Juventus the former Parma man has still managed 14 goals.
