Milan and Chelsea in for Latvian Striker.

AC Milan and Chelsea will both sends scouts to watch Maris Verpakovskis at Euro 2004. His goals for both Kiev and Latvia have turned this young striker into one of the hottest properties in football at the moment and looks certain to cash in with a move to either Italy or the Premership.

He has previously had trials in England with both Southampton and Wolves, but failed to impress enough for a full term offer, since then and a change to Kiev the progress the player has made has been nothing short of remarkable.

Other news that Rui Costa was on the subject of transfer interest between Milan and Chelsea is now thought to be wide of the mark.
