Man Utd and Milan watch as Cassano snubs Roma cont

Manchester United and AC Milan have been alerted to the fact that Roma's Antonio Cassano has put on hold all talks regarding a new contract at Roma. Roma president Franco Sensi and director general Franco Baldini had been desperate to nail Cassano to a longer contract,

the current deal ending in 2006, but Cassano has point blank refused to talk, saying only that he wants to wait and see how competative Roma are going to be next season, with the players that have already left and their current cash crisis, it remains debatable whether Roma can be a true force in Serie A next season.

AC Milan and Manchester United are looking on in interest, both long time admirers of his talent, a 16 Million pound offer from Milan having already been rejected.

Cassano would be very unlikely to be leaving Roma this season, but roma would have to sell him next year or risk him leaving for free.
