Juventus told they must beat Spurs offer for Udine

Juventus have been told that they had better be willing to stump up the cash and beat Tottenham Hotspurs intital offer of 5 Million if they're to land Udinese midfielder Marek Jankulovski. The only thing that seams certain at the moment though is the Czech international will be leaving Udinese,

after Euro 2004 is finished, the 27 year old midfielder has been a target of several clubs, but Juventus looked to be closest, that has now been blown out of the water after Udinese's demand for cash.

Juve had hoped to bring the player in on a cash plus player basis with Matteo Brighi and Messina wing-back Alessandro Parisi being part of the deal, but this fails to interest the Undinese camp with a club insider quoted as saying:

'We have recieved a very interesting offer from a Premership club, if Juventus are serious, then they have to match that, we will do what is in the best interest of the club'.
