Liverpool to swoop for Milan defender.

AC Milan's Argentine centre-half Fabricio Coloccini could be on the verge of a shock move to the Premiership, with Liverpool. That is if new manager Rafael Benitez gets his own way. It is thought that the initial move would be for a one year loan period,

It is thought that the initial move would be for a one year loan period, which would be par for the course for Coloccini.

He has in fact spent most of the last three seasons on loan in Spain with Alaves, Atletico Madrid and Villareal. Which has given the new Liverpool manager ample opportunity to watch him, during his time in charge of Valencia.
