Palermo set to rival Spurs for Modena striker

The news that spurs have been in transfer talks for the last three weeks with Modena's Diomansy Kamara, broke yesterday. Then almost in the same instant came the news that Palermo are trying to tempt him as well.

Maurizio Zamparini, Plaermo's president is trying to capatilise on rumours that the talks between Spurs and Modena, have hit a snag in the last few days and feels he could snatch the Kamara from under the premership clubs noses.

Palermo were heavily tipped to land Lecce striker Javier Chevanton last week, but when those talks collapsed, he turned towards Modena.

The ball would still seam to be in Spurs court at the moment though, although the reason the current talks have gone cold is the subject of a fair bit of rumour and counter rumour, it does appear that the clubs are at least close to a deal.
