Juventus ponder bid for Arsenal stopper

According to the Italian media Juventus are preparing to step up their interest in Arsenal's Sol Campbell. Juve are expected to sign a central defender this summer and it now appears that Campbell is top of their wish list.

It is understood that they are preparing a cash plus player deal that might tempt Arsenal into parting with their Ennland international defender.

News that there may be difficulties over Campbell's new contract first allerted the Turin side to his potential availability and Juventus feel they stand a good chance to lure the player to Italy.

Campbell is stalling over a new contract as Arsenal want him to take a large pay cut from the contract that saw him arrive from their North London neighbours.
