UEFA tackles 'dirty' Roma

UEFA handed out two more bans, to deliver what is probably the final kick in the teeth for Roma's Champions league hopes, for this season. Daniele De Rossi has probably played his last game in the competion this year after being handed a three match ban.

While teammate Christian Panucci is out for two. Rossi sent off during the final miutes against Bayer Leverkusen, for a rush of blood to the head that saw him aim a kick at Krzynowek, just about sums up this campaign for Roma. With one incident following hard on the heels of another.

Roma, currently bottom of group B with a grand total of 0 points, look to be heading for a early exit and now Panucci, who was red carded in the same game has a two match suspension, it must be aa case of trying to work out where it has all gone wrong, for Roma and her supporters.

Add to these the fact that Philippe Mexes was suspended for a kick at Verpakovskis in their opening tie with Dynamo Kiev, which then had to be abandoned when the ref was hit by a missle thrown from the crowd, and =you could very well be entitled to think that prehaps, leaving the competion might not be the worst thing that could happen to the Roman club.

They have until 25th of October to appeal the bans.
