Polishing shoes for Rangers by Gattuso.

In an interview in the Corriere della Sera ahead of the Celtic game Gennaro Gattuso gave his views on British customs and how Rangers taught him the value of work and 'Corriere della Sera' focuses on Gennaro Gattuso. On the eve of the trip to Celtic

the gritty midfielder remembers his days in Scotland. He said: ’I remember that experience as a football rebirth. Just there, in Scotland, I started to realize that work pays.' Gattuso then reveals a British football custom. He added: ’In Scotland the reserve players are used to polishing your shoes and keep the dressing room tidy. I used to polish my own shoes, even though the coach didn't want.'

He then talks about the rivalry between Celtic and Rangers and how the win would be doubly important to him.
