Fiorentina and West Brom move for Inter player

Inter’s Julio Cruz is set to become the subject of a transfer wrangle between Fiorentina and West Brom once the January transfer window opens, with both clubs placing him at the top of their wish lists. Bryan Robson is a long time admirer of the player and recently declared his interest in Cruz.

But new Fiorentina president Andrea Della Valle has threw down the gauntlet saying: "We have plans to make an important investment next month to strengthen the attack.

"There are several possible names and the Inter player Cruz is one of them. He is someone I have admired for a long time."

The Italian press currently rank West Brom as favourites to land Cruz, but the allure of remaining in Italy could still sway things in Fiorentina’s favour.
