Barcelona to move for Manchester City star

Barcelona are looking to recruit Manchester City’s Nicolas Anelka according to various reports today. They are looking to replace injured front man Henrik Larsson and see Anelka as the ideal replacement for the Swedish star.

Barcelona are currently run away leaders in La Liga but have suffered from injuries for a while and they are looking to get a loan deal in to see them through until Larsson’s return.

A loan deal will not appeal to Man City though. They recently revealed that because of their current cash flow problems, they will consider selling Anelka but it is thought unlikely that they will be willing to loan the temperamental star.
