Fernando Morientes is insisting that he has made up his mind where he wants to go and his heart is telling him that it’s Anfield. Liverpool have already had one bid turned down for the Spanish international,

but the Spanish press believe they will return to Madrid with an improved offer later in the week.

Liverpool has something of a striker crisis at the moment with injuries and Rafa Benitez is looking to bring a striker in during the January transfer window. Morientes was quoted as saying:

"Yes, I am going to England - I have decided,"

"I will go to Liverpool and for many reasons. The main reason is the coach Rafa Benitez. He is Spanish and knows me perfectly, which is worth a lot for a professional.

"We have asked Real Madrid to make a fast solution and I don't want to expand any further, except to say I am already looking through the English dictionary."
