Juventus plan Newcastle swoop

Oliver Bernard is tonight being linked with a move to Serie A and Juventus. Despite the offer of a new contract on improved terms the Frenchman remains unhappy with what he has been offered and Juve see this as a chance to swoop for the promising left back.

Newcastle have already purchased cover for Bernard in the shape of Celestine Babayaro and may feel that it is better to cash in a Bernard than to see him leave for free at the end of the season.

French television is claiming that it is pretty much a done deal a Bernard will mover very soon after the transfer window opens.
