Barcelona linked with Spurs Star

Barcelona are today being linked with Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe. Although any move would not happen until the end of the season with the La Liga club having insufficient funds available to mount a January transfer attempt.

They will monitor Defoe’s ongoing contract talks with interest and hope that they will be able to tempt him to La Liga at the end of the season.

Defoe’s future has become the subject of much speculation in the last couple of days since he dumped his current agents in the middle of negotiations over an improved deal. And Barcelona hope to cash in on the confusion surrounding the striker at the moment.
