AC and Inter Milan, Arsenal and Liverpool to battl

AC Milan, Inter Milan, Arsenal and Liverpool are set to battle for the signature of Bayern Munich's Samuel Kuffour. It seems almost certain that the defender will be leaving Germany with his contract up in six months and a move to Italy was always on the cards.

Now however premiership clubs have been alerted to the situation and are interested in pursuing Kuffour, with Arsene Wenger in particular being very keen on bringing the talented defender to Highbury.

It is thought that Bayern would prefer him to move now, rather than for free at the end of the season, which could just favour the English sides, with both Inter and AC Milan, merely wanting to enter into pre-contract talks.
