Valencia claim victory in race for Arsenal star

Valencia are today claiming that they have won the race to sign Arsenal star Edu and have tied him to a pre-contract, meaning he will be joining them come the end of the season. Contract talks at Highbury had stalled and Arsene Wenger is not a happy man with Edu.

Between Injuries and the trouble over his contract Edu has been steadily falling out of favour at Arsenal in recent months, so perhaps his departure will be for the best for all parties, but Arsenal will not be happy with the way the entire situation has been handled.
