Southampton linked with Juventus Defender

The Italian media are linking Southampton with a bid for Juventus defender Nicola Legrottaglie. They face stiff competition from Parma though, who want to take the defender on loan until the end of the season.

Legrottaglie has in the past intimated that he would like to come to the premiership and experience life in England, so Southampton could be in with a good chance of landing their man. However Parma have recently offered Juve first option on fullback Daniele Bonera and would like some return for this act of generosity.
