Spurs star wants to forget about Barcelona

Spurs player Fredi Kanoute, is willing to put all thoughts of Barcelona behind him as he concentrates on the season ahead with Spurs. He had been strongly linked with a move away fro White Hart Lane, but wants to stay.

"Actually, there is nothing really serious," said the player.

"The officials had contact with my entourage and asked my wages, the length of my contract etc.

"But all the clubs do that!

"Since then, I have had no news. I think I am part of a list, but I am not first choice.

"But I would never leave without guarantees. If Barcelona wants me, they have to show concrete interest.

"To me, it is useless to stay six months at Barcelona and come back to Tottenham straight afterwards."
