Rangers open talks with Monaco ace

Rangers are getting set to open talks with Monaco striker Shabani Nonda, with a view to a summer move. He has been attracting the attentions of several sides including Juventus, but McLeish feels he can persuade the player to move to Glasgow.

Nonda’s agent speaking to the daily record had this to say:

"Rangers are interested in Nonda, but we will not begin negotiations about signing a pre-contract agreement until after January.”

"I will speak to the president and if all goes well the player, will then visit the club and speak with the manager . “

"Juventus are also interested, but Shabani is very honoured to have a club like Rangers chasing him.

"It is also nice to know Prso is already at Ibrox. They know each other very well and played well together."
