Nicolas Anelka may have had a traditional Christmas lunch, sat round in a not unpleasant sulk, with the other members of his family, chatting about how best not to speak to each other at this special time of year, while a well meaning man with white hair continued in his quest to be his manager.
But now he has got his Turkey or a strong possibility of it anyway. With his proposed move to Fenerbahce appearing to be nearing a conclusion.
Reports today are claiming that the Istanbul club have agreed a fee of £7million, but they insist that there are still details to iron out.
So whether it will be a case of Turkish delight, or Turkey Stuffing remains to be seen, but as soon as le-sulk moves for definite I will put it on here.
