If Newcastle United or Aston Villa want to sign Deportivo La Coruna’s Walter Pandiani, nicknamed the rifle, before the end of the transfer window it will cost them four million pound. Both clubs have made extensive enquiries about the player.
But it is believed to be Newcastle that is best placed to land him. They want cover for the soon to be departing Craig Bellamy and see Pandiani as the man.
Newcastle of course will soon have 6 million in the bank due to the sale of Craig Bellamy, so money should not present a problem.
