The Spanish press are crediting Newcastle United with a last minute bid for Deportivo La Coruna’s Walter Pandiani, they see him as a replacement for the soon to be departing Craig Bellamy. Any deal would be worth around four million for the Spainish club.
And would have to be done quickly if Newcastle are going to see the player during this transfer window.
They have apparently warned Deportivo La Coruna that it will be now rather than later, if they are to make the deal, stating that if it comes to a summer purchase they may very well look elsewhere. Its now up to the Spanish club on what will happen.
But if it does indeed happen, it will be within the next few hours. Pandiani for what its worth has hinted that he would like to move to Tyneside, so time will tell.
