Arsenal close in on Roma Starlet

Arsene Wenger is looking to add Roma’s Raffaele De Martino to the ranks of young talent at Arsenal. The Italian press are stating that a move is imminent for the youngster and his agent Giuseppe Galli has confirmed that talks have taken place Stating:

''The guy called me yesterday (Friday) and assured me that he was always in Italy and has not signed a contract with any English club.”

''There does exist a negotiation but Roma were informed of it in the last few weeks.''

Daniele Prade of Roma wanted to end the speculation but had to concede that there is substance to the proposed move:

''We offered him a contract but he asked for double the sum.”

''Now De Martino is at home and is absolutely confused."

''His agent has been contacted by English officials but these are his things.''
