Birmingham told to buy now and save later

Birmingham City are being urged into buying striker Walter Pandiani now rather than wait for the summer by Deportivo La Coruna president Augusto Caesar Lendoiro.
Deportivo want Pandiani off their wage structure as soon as possible and have informed Birmingham that if they are willing, to deal now they will save money in the long run as the player’s price is sure to rise, if it becomes an open market in the summer.
Pandiani has started well at Birmingham, and was recently quoted as saying he was happy there, and liked the spirit, so persuading the player should not be too difficult. It now remains to be seen if Birmingham will follow the advice, or risk losing him in the summer.
