Newcastle and Liverpool target Deportivo La Coruna defender Cesar has stated that he is flattered by the interest shown in him by the Premiership duo and could be tempted into a move. He has 18 months left on his current contract,
but Deportivo have hinted that they would be willing to sell if the price was right.
Although all parties concerned are denying any official contact as of yet, the Spanish press are convinced there will be movement come the summer.
Cesar stated:
''I have not spoken personally with the clubs and only know of the news published in the press,''
''My future is worked out by my agent.”
''I am happy with the interest because it demonstrates that my efforts are valued. “
''English football is spectacular and there is a lot of work for defenders.”
''There is always that option but today I only want to concentrate on Depor.''
