Valencia say adios to Ranieri

Ex Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri, is now an Ex boss again, this time of Valencia, following an emergency board meeting earlier today. Ranieri only returned to Valencia in the summer, following his departure from Chelsea and is set to be replaced after just eight months in charge.

He had invested heavily in new players, but the results failed to follow and after exit from Europe and the La Liga title seemingly well out of reach, the club decided it was time to part company.

The early favourite to take over at Valencia is Ronald Koeman, who parted company with Ajax, following yesterday’s Uefa cup loss to Auxerre.
