Arsenal, Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona in for Lyon star Michael Essien's agent, Fabien Piveteau has stated that four of Europe’s biggest clubs have made enquires to him over his young Lyon star. And they might not be alone with Manchester United also understood to be interested.

Along with Kompany, Essien is set to become the transfer wrangle of the summer and Sir Alex Ferguson is rumoured to think so highly of the young player he sees him as a long term replacement for an aging Roy Keane.

But so far four clubs Arsenal, Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona have made enquiries about Essien and are well placed should Lyon decide to cash in on the player.

Speaking to L'Equipe, Piveteau stated:

"I know Juventus are attracted to him.”

"However, I haven't had direct contact. But that is the case with people from Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Arsenal."
