Roma boss set to quit? Update

That merry go round of the management world Roma could be on the verge of having to look for their fifth manager of the year, with rumours that Luigi Delneri is set to resign. Really ever since Fabio Capello left, Roma have been a club in disarray.

Cesare Prandelli tried, but stepped down to family illness, next came Rudi Voller who was forced to step down due to once having a bad perm. Then once marketed as the saviour Luigi Delneri, now also looks set to quit.

Three consecutive defeats have done little to help his cause, but to be honest who ever does eventually get the Roma job is taking on a mess of a club and deserves all the sympathy I can muster, which as far as Roma goes isn’t much at the best of times.

Update: coach Luigi Del Neri has indeed parted company with Roma a club statement stated it was by "mutual consent".

Italian press reports have suggested that ex-Roma player and 1982 World Cup winner Bruno Conti is favourite to take over.

As soon as I find out who is favourite to take over from Conti in the next week or so I will let you know.
