Liverpool boss not interested in Real

Despite all the speculation that Rafa Benitez will be joining Real Madrid in the summer, he insists he will be going nowhere and wants to concentrate on once again making Liverpool a force in world football.

Real Madrid were rumoured to have Benitez on a short list containing just one other name that of Fabio Capello, who it would seem at the moment would be very unlikely to leave Juventus.

So it may be that Real Madrid will not give up on their former youth team coach, and they could be in with a chance, despite taking Liverpool into the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League, not all Liverpool fans are overly impressed by him. And he has admitted that he is found it tougher than he thought.

"It has been a very big challenge for me here," he stated.

"A challenge does not scare me, but it is more difficult for me here because I do not have the same ability as in Spain to communicate with the players and know what they are thinking."

"There have been some frustrations, but it has not affected my enthusiasm for the job," he continued.

"I have heard the rumours about Real Madrid but I want to concentrate on Blackburn, not that. “
"I am not someone who walks away from a challenge.”

"If something goes wrong or is proving difficult, my philosophy is to go away and think about it, then come back next time and try to put it right."
